Using spray-in bed liner on the entire vehicle. Some look good and some look a bit overdone, I have mixed feelings, what says you Oppo?
I have probably seen 5 or 6 vehicles with it done now. My guess would be its very durable and easy to clean, but it has to cost quite a bit to get done.

I saw a ranger done like that down here in the suburbs of northern Virginia.. Didn't look bad, it just looked out of place. Then again most modified trucks do here as there's almost no reason to own one here.

Its been common for a while in the off road world, I hate it. It adds tons of weight and looks like crap.

That's been a thing in some states down here for probably near 20 years. I saw a Scout that was a full bedliner job probably 8 years ago. Which, fouling a classic, yes, but might have been a way to keep a Scout from rusting away, so feelings were mixed.

I remember hearing about this a year ago with that infamous S4.
I'm conflicted as well. It's tougher than any matte plasti-dip job but it looks like ricer primer.

That's an A4, an awful one at that

I personally like the look of it, but I saw a picture of it on a WRX and my first thought was "How much weight did that add?".

Totally unnecessary. I personally find it pretty ugly too, but hey, different strokes for different folks.

Ugh. I live in Calgary and I've noticed it too. As with most things, it looks all right in moderation, IMO

I'm conflicted as well.
That being said, that stuff is heavy. How much does a coating to an entire car weigh? MORE THAN THE SPARE THEY NO LONGER SELL IN MOST CARS, I BET!

Agreed. I bedlined my rocker panels, bumpers, and the tub of my Jeep, but I think doing the whole thing is a little tacky.

Theres a local Jeep guy that did that. My problem with it is to do it right with the good stuff will just weigh the vehicle down a ton.

I have seen a few with the rocker panel paint that is a bit more rubberized but never the actual bed liner stuff. Weird its just catching on up here.

I say I like it, as long as it's done properly. See below for example of truly doing it right.

I have moved a 5 gallon pail that weighed about 50 pounds of the stuff, and that covered the box of a service truck, so it would likely cover an entire vehicle.

Hello fellow 'berta Oppo. Some look good and others are terrible.

And to get it done professionally is like 4 grand.

I could see that being practical on a work truck. a farm or a construction site can be brutal on any vehicle...but otherwise...nah.

Probably going to end up with some on my XJ as well, but it's already black anyway.

So only an extra 50(ish) pounds? That doesn't seem to bad. Especially here in Alaska where we don't salt the roads during winter, we use a dirt/gravel mix. Huh.

One of my friend's dad drives a wrangler with it and I have to say it looks pretty badass!

I just did the plastic rocker panels on mine:
It holds up pretty well to scratches and dents, but mostly it just covered up the ugly faded plastic ;)

I'm in Calgary too! I think it looks good on rocker panels and maybe bumpers, but the whole thing? Ugh!

Yeah? awesome. Where you at? What do you drive? Maybe I've seen you around...

I personally want to do that to an XJ for durability and rust proofing. Looks are secondary to a long lasting winter vehicle for me.
